Thomas Balzamo
BMM Workshop Maker, Woodworker, Blacksmith
Thomas Balzamo is a dedicated husband and father, a Radiographer, a Pastor, and a lifelong maker of things.
He has been a tinkerer from his earliest memories. There were two instances of his youth in which he landed in hot water for this, the first for taking apart an oscillating fan and the other for taking apart his mother's bicycle. He learned at a young age that taking things apart is only half of the challenge, the easier half.
Since then, Thomas has always loved the independence of repairing and making things himself. If you know him personally, "self-efficacy" is something you'll hear him talk about a lot.
His career has taken him on various paths from becoming a licensed Medical Radiographer, to marketing, and finally into pastoral ministry. But making things has always been a constant for him over the years. He would love for his workshop to fully support him in the ministry by the work of his own hands. In addition to staying busy with welding and blacksmithing, Thomas is also an accomplished woodworker, making everything from cabinets to violins, and even a pirate ship for a theatrical set!
Thomas is simply curious about everything. His wife and two teenage sons could attest that in every thing he does he commits one hundred and ten percent.
